Presentation of the web portal Sigledal
SiGledal is a web portal of Slovene performing arts. Its aim is to promote creativity in the area of performing arts, provide free access to daily updated contents intended for informational, educational, and research purposes, and to archive, preserve, and ensure web accessibility to Slovene theatre heritage.
The portal is managed by Institute Novi ZATO. and is co-financed by the Ministry of Culture as a public information programme in the area of performing arts since January 2010.
The portal is divided into four segments: Info Point, Wiki, Repertoire, and Digital Collections.
Info Point provides up-to-date information on what's happening on Slovenian stages and backstages.
Wiki is a so called theatre wikipedia built by theatre makers, researchers, and the audiences.
Repertoire is a web yearbook of Slovenian theatre production.
Digital Collections are publicly accessible digital archives of Slovenian theatre production, including reviews, talks, discussions, reverberations, photographic, poster, and other materials that provide a glimpse into selected theatre productions, their creation process, reception, collaborators, etc.
